Mundialito, the Little World Cup, is the largest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in the world!. Over 1,000 kids who participated in Mundialito as youth soccer players became professional athletes. Elite, talented, hard-working, and determined young athletes from multiple countries are selected to compete at the highest level. Mundialito is where cultures collide, and the official language is soccer.

For this 2025 Mundialito Edition, we will be forming teams in partnership with HP Elite & Beyond to bring together the top youth players of the DMV.

Player Eligibility

Players are eligible for selection by participating in FutStars Training, tryouts and/or selection via our coaching network. A positive work ethic and attitude combined with elite mental fitness are your recipes for success. We are seeking Mundialito players who are mature, focused, and ready to push themselves beyond their limits under pressure.

Tournament Inclusions

  • Games: play at least 4 games against internationally renowned teams with the potential of 5-6 games for our more experienced teams.

  • Accommodation: enjoy an 8-night stay in a luxurious 4-star beachfront hotel in the traditional town of Costa Daurada, Salou, La Pineda, or Cambrils.

  • Meals: indulge in three delicious meals a day provided in an all-you-can-eat buffet style.

  • Transportation: bus transportation to and from airport and hotel; and bus transportation to all tournament events

  • Medical insurance:  provided for players throughout the tournament

If selected, you will be on your way to beautiful Costa Daurada, Spain from April 12 - 20, 2025!

Mundialito Itinerary

Get ready to learn the ways of international professional academies as you step into their shoes for a week. You will participate in daily training sessions and eat meals with professional academy players and UEFA International Coaches. This unique setting not only offers you the opportunity to enhance your athletic abilities, but also facilitates the formation of lifelong friendships with international players and families from various cultures and backgrounds.  Don’t miss out on this enriching experience!

All players must be accompanied by and under the supervision of an adult.

Families may add as many guests as they like, and all family members will stay at the same hotel.

  • What is Mundialito?
    Mundialito, translated as “Little World Cup” in Spanish, is the largest, most prestigious international tournament for youth soccer players. Top players from academies worldwide come together to compete and learn about different cultures. It’s a total immersion experience into the exciting world of international futbol.
  • What is Madrid91?
    Madrid91 includes training sessions, friendly matches and one of the most prestigious international tournaments for youth soccer players. Top players from academies worldwide come together to compete and learn about different cultures. It’s a total immersion experience into the exciting world of international futbol.
  • How are rosters formed?
    The rosters comprise players from different US states/regions and international Spanish players. We aim to prepare the players for an immersion experience by introducing them to other athletes worldwide.
  • How do we evaluare players and select players?
    We evaluate and recruit players in the following ways: 1- Directly from our Futstars Training Clinics or Camps. and/or through our coaching network. 2- Through our coaching network where they evaluate and recommend players based on their performance in their own environment. 3- Through evaluations made directly in specific tryout Sessions for players interested in our international competitions scheduled upon request. 4- We may also observe players on their own club team for further evaluation when required.
  • Who is the coaching staff?
    Coaching staff is selected from professional Spanish academies and programs based in Spain.
  • Are training sessions held before traveling with the team?
    Because teams are formed with kids from all over the USA and Spain, having training sessions beforehand is extremely rare due to logistics.
  • Are teams a mix of genders or the same?
    All teams are comprised of players of the same gender.
  • Is the trip limited to the player and their chaperone?
    There is no limit to the number of family members who would like to travel with their player. We say the more, the merrier! We require one chaperone, but encourage more!
  • How can we find out who is on the roster?
    We do not provide a list of invitees and rosters are released when we are closer to the trip. We want this experience to be based on your own personal desire to attend and experience the culture.
  • Are flights included?
    No, we let families organize their own flights. We will have a meeting point in the Airport on arrival day to take a bus together to the tournament hotel site. We ask families to not land later than 1 pm as we organize buses departures between 10 -2pm. Families may also choose to arrive a few days earlier for sightseeing and meet the Futstars Expedition at the airport on the appointed arrival day. We will also provide bus transportation from hotel to airport on the departing day. We organize buses bases on the flight manifest we receive from families. We expect buses to leave very early in the morning as many international flights depart early in the morning. We will finalize bus times once we receive arrival and departure times from all our families.
  • What time should we land on arrival date?
    We ask families to not land later than 1 pm as we organize buses departures between 10 -2pm. Families may also choose to arrive a few days earlier for sightseeing and meet the Futstars Expedition at the airport on the appointed arrival day. We will also provide bus transportation from hotel to airport on the departing day. We organize buses bases on the flight manifest we receive from families.   • When will the specific hotel be confirmed for our stay during the tournament?
    The specific 4-star hotel for your stay should be confirmed no later than February/March 2025. We work closely with the tournaments to ensure placement in a premier location based on the options available.
  • How much time do the players spend with the team vs their family during the tournament?
    The players will either have morning or afternoon games. In both circumstances, they will have breakfast with the team, attend their match, have a light training session before or after their game, and have lunch with their teammates. After that, they will be dismissed to spend time with their families.
  • What is the required uniform?
    The uniform is included in the price and consists of two game jerseys, two game shorts, two game socks, a training top, and a warm-up jacket and pants. Extra items are available for purchase.
  • Can players and families stay off-site during the trip?
    Players and guests must stay with the group. This cohesion is an essential part of the trip and helps streamline logistics for everyone.
  • What is the payment schedule?
    1. 20% per player/traveler at the moment of invitation acceptance. 2. 30% per player / traveler on November 1st, 2024 3. 30% per player / traveler on December 15th, 2024 4. 20% Final balance per player / traveler before February 1st, 2025
  • Can players purchase extra uniform items?
    Yes, players have the option to buy additional individual uniform items. The standard uniform package provided upon registration includes nine items: two jerseys, two shorts, two socks, one training top, and one set of warm-up jacket and pants. Family members can also purchase FAN GEAR to show support for the teams during the trip.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    If a player/participant cancels their trip: • Cancellation before October 15th, 2024 : $450 per player and $300 per guest is lost. • Cancellation before December 1st, 2024 : $600 per person is lost. • Cancellation before January 1st, 2025: $800 per person is lost. • Cancellation before February 15th, 2025: $1,000 per person is lost. • Cancellation on/ after February 15th, 2025: Entire registration fee is lost.
  • What happens if the event is cancelled?
    If the event is canceled for any reason, you receive 70% refund. The risk of cancellation is minimal unless we get hit with another world pandemic. Families can seek to find individual coverage for their trip.
